It's Like Fireworks
Another nice stay... Love being so close to the water, and the use of the amenities at the Ramada... Nice pool also here in the park, warm and relaxing... Enjoyed the fireworks display that they do on Wednesday nights at the beach but you can see them from the park and they only last about ten minutes... This is our second time staying here (refer to my March review)... Just as nice second go around

Nice place
We just left Destin West after staying for a month. Very nice park, extremely clean & well maintained. Fairly easy access to Gulf beaches across the road, thru the Ramada Resort. The RV park is on the Bay side of Okaloosa Island. If going there, get a pad at least 7 spaces away from Miracle Strip Hwy... extremely busy road. No good walking or bicycling available from the park, but Skidoos, pontoon boats & kayaks can be rented for use on the bay immediately next door. Handy. Nice but small pool, yet heated to perfect temp! So usable even in cool weather!

Okaloosa Island
We stayed here for 3 weeks, as my husband was working at Eglin AFB. It was a very convenient commute. Destin West is all paved and has very nice patios. It's not too big, is laid out nice, no pull thrus. It's located on an inter coastal and has a nice pool. Across the street is a sister property, the Ramada, which allows you access to their pool, lazy river, and gym, plus it is oceanfront. The Crab Trap, etc., are also within walking distance. It surprisingly wasn't terribly crowded either. I felt like it took awhile for the office staff to warm up, but they ended up being friendly and helpful. My only complaints are: 1) if you are parked on the side of The Adventure Zone Amusement Park it can be noisy, 2) I didn't feel they had adequate laundry facilities for the park... There were only 2 washers and 2 dryers, plus for those that use the shower facilities there were only 2 showers... However they were clean. We did enjoy our stay, all things considered.

Great RV park
We stayed here for a week in May 2015; we are returning this year. Super clean, nice grounds, clean pool facing the bay, trash pick-up at your site all day, and nice laundry area. We really enjoyed our stay. Great location. Friendly staff.

Nice park
Clean, friendly staff, close to beach. A few trees would be a great help, and perhaps a walkway to the water on the bayside for our pets who are not allowed on the beach and it would be perfect!
