We had a very bad experience at Monte Bello. This park is pretty basic and we were prepared for that from other on-line reviews: it’s located on top of a mesa with no trees, no shade, lots of dust and VERY windy - most afternoons our RV was rocking back and forth like being on a boat. There is also road noise as it is located right next to a highway with lots of truck traffic.
The sites are close and have no privacy. Unfortunately for us, the on-site host did nothing about the site occupant next to us who got up at 6:00AM and decided to do repair work on his truck engine along with lots of slamming doors, revving engines, driving in and out to test his repair work, etc.
This noise and repair job continued for over 3 hours. When we complained to the on-site host, whose site is situated directly behind the offending repairman, he was rude asked why we didn’t complain to him at 6:00AM and used language that is not fit to print. Needless to say, we will not be returning here - ever. The positives are the clean restrooms and laundry. The sites are very level and long enough to pull-through with tow.
