Crotchety old man

This is no longer a KOA but now a Good Sam. We are here on Memorial Day weekend and had s hard time finding other campgrounds. At first glance the place looks a little scary but once inside it isn't too bad. The bath houses are updated and we're really clean. The pool was open and we had a little time in it. We are here for two nights then headed back home. The man who greeted us was rather crotchety and rude. At one point I asked about the hours if the pool and he replied "you can do what you want, you can drown, you can catch a cold, I don't care. I am leaving." I think that statement says all that needs to be said about him.

I would stay here again if pushed and had no other place to stay.

Quaint and Clean

This is a small campground with only 18 RV spots but each is gravel with a patio, grill, and fire ring. There are four tent sites, two tree houses, and six or so safari tents. The grounds are very well kept and the bath house is extremely clean. Free cable and wifi are provided. We did not use the cable and the wifi slowed down at night when it got crowded.

My wife, three year old son, and I stayed for five nights and all of us enjoyed it. There was a small playground for kids and a pool for the summer season.

The owners are a young couple with small kids and keep it kid friendly. They were very personable and live up the hill so are always available by phone if needed.

My only drawback was the proximity to Hwy 321 which cannot be helped by the owners. There was some road noise but not enough to keep us awake.

Planning on going back next year.
