A good overnight for a road trip

Very friendly people. However the bathrooms were basic metal building type. They had nice level concrete pads. But only gravel around. I think power plant workers live there.

Easy access

We stayed one night in an RV. It was quite. The showers and bath were like summer camp. Concrete floors and curtains not doors.

Good Access

The beach proximity and pool/hot tub are the best features of this place.

Spots are tight and small. All pavement or concrete. No grass or trees. No view. Just a parking lot.

Baths are clean and spacious. Dated, but good.

Peaceful

We stayed one night. July 4, 2012. The site was level and clean. All gravel roads and sites. Hummingbirds and chipmunks.

Impressive

Clean parking area. Wonderful showers. Nice staff. Kids enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub. Tables at each site.

We took the basic train car for the day to the canyon. They attendant in the train have us information and history as we traveled. Singers can thru.

We would stay there again.

Friendly

We had a shady spot with a table and grass.
It is a dated place with an old pool they updated with a slide. My kids loved it.

The 3 stall ladies shower had only curtains and no doors. There was a separate changing space attached to each shower.

Free coffee and muffins each morning.

Nice facility but dirty

Nice place. Has grass around each concrete pad site. I forgot to ask for my Good Sam's discount. I asked later that day and was offered a bag of ice instead of a refund. :(

The Lone Star pool was cloudy with debri and trash in it. My kids complained about the water quality. The other pool was closed for a wedding.

The laundry room was nice. $1.50 per wash and dry (each). There were tons of dead bugs in the light fixtures.

The showers were nice. Individual rooms with shower, toilet and sink.
