Keep looking...

We stayed one night as a half way stop between Hershey, PA and Dayton, OH. This cg gets one star for having a pool (but we didn't swim) and one for having a playground for the kids. Otherwise, there was no water at our site do to treatment issues and water quality concerns. A drizzle of water in the shower. No shade for sites 70-75 or 62-68. We watched the people in spot 76 struggle to find a level enough resting spot. If you have a choice choose another exit off 70.

Great Place (travel warning from 78)

A pleasant stay for us and our two small children on July 5, 2011. We were headed from Boston to Hershey, PA and after sitting in traffic all day the kids were so excited to see the playground. I wish that I would have packed our bathing suits because the pool looked so inviting. The office was closed when we arrived but we had called about 45 minutes out and they opened to let us in. The gentleman was very kind and even let us purchase a few things from the small store. The ladies restroom was clean. Our site was gravel but level and at night the site was dark and quiet. We only stayed one night but on the way out we noticed that a number of sites appeared to have full-time guests. There was not sewer hook up at our site but we dumped on the way out. If we lived within a few hours of the park we would definetley visit again. IMPORTANT NOTE: are two ways to get there from 78. Take 611. NOT exit 11 for you west bound travelers. This was the way our gps routed us which was extra winding, led over a small bridge with wooded planks showing under the black top surface, and had steep hills to climb.

Close to the toll road

We stayed at this park in late July 2011. We needed a half way point to stop on our trip from Niagra Falls to Boston. You cannot beat the location and the ease of access to the toll road. As you drive into the park and marina you do pass over an active set of RR tracks butwith the ac on in our unit the traindid not wake us. The park does have many trees for shade and a few large grassy areas for our kids (ages 5 and 3) to run. They had firewood available for puchase and the the facilities were clean and well maintained. From our site we didn't have a direct view of the river but it was only a short walk to go and enjoy the view. We were in spot 39 which was right across from additional parking if you have a need for it. The only two negative comments I have was that although they boast wifi it did not reach our site (no big deal) and that the sites were pretty close together so privacy wasn't there but the camp was quiet. I would recommend it.
