Nice place to get out of town quick..

Just 2 hours away from the Antelope Valley, you feel so much farther out of the city limits.
Trees, yes.... grass, no ... it's more of desert like surroundings...
The clubhouse is wonderful, with big screen TV, a piano, full kitchen for campers use, tables, couches.... a nice place to hang out.
No organized activities, tho... I would like to have had some of those :)
Nice big showers and rest rooms.

This is the main place to stay for the Cowboy Museum and activities in Lone Pine, tho something we are not interested in... many others are, and this park fills up fast during the special festivities.

Overall.. it's clean and quiet, and we enjoy it as a close place to get away from it all.. just to relax.

This Park Stinks.. literally!

RV park in San Dimas, CA
Beautiful grounds, Puddingstone Lake for fishing, and access to a swimming and boating lake.

OK, while I was at first sight, impressed with this place, it soon became a nightmare!
The place was overrun with SKUNKS! They came out at dusk, and hung around campsites.... 3 or 4 skunks each.
My husband took my dog for a walk, and couldn't get back into our RV for half an hour due to one skunk hanging out at our door, not allowing them entrance.
I think it was terrible of them not to inform their patrons in ANY way about the infestation.
Of course, they can't do anything about them, but at least they could have made us aware, so that we could have made a more informed decision to stay there.
We left after 2 days..... it was just so unpleasant.

The spaces on the lower lake (fishing) were small, and you could spread out some on the grass, but, everything had to be off all day Wednesday, so they could cut the grass. I guess understand, but did not make for camping fun.
