Convenient to Everything

I don't know if the previous poster even stayed here because he/she had marked "Yes" for Clubhouse, Golf, Playground, Sports Field and horseshoes when none of these are present at this park. It does have immaculate restrooms, laundry, and pool and a great exercise room that has just about anything you'd need to stay in shape while here. It's about 5 miles to downtown Las Vegas yet you don't have all that tourist traffic. There is a bus stop right across the street to take you to the sights and sounds of The Strip. Walmart is about 2 miles away. There is a lot to see and do while in the area (check out the casino buffets!). There is one drawback to the Hitchin' Post RV Park...the jets at Nellis AFB fly right overhead on takeoff and landings so it can be VERY noisy at times. Nights, though, are quiet. 3 dog runs, a putting green, dog wash, and very clean pool complete the amenities. There is a bar/restaurant on site but we've not eaten there. Close to the Las Vegas NASCAR track, too. We usually stay for several months so don't know what the daily rate is.

Great price for what you get

As the previous poster said, this is not a destination park but it is convenient to the historic town of Ft. Stockton, shopping, and restaurants. You do get noise from I-10 but in the summer, with the a/c going, you don't even hear it.

Lots are easy pull-thru big enough for any rig. It might not be fancy but it appears to be the nicest one in the area and for $16 you get 30 amp electric, water, sewer, wifi, and cable. Can't beat that deal. Just $18 for 50 amp. Don't pass this one up just because it's not fancy.
