D+ Drive in Experience - Badly Laid-Out, Poor Sound, Poor image

The Drive-In RV site is a great concept, but the site's layout is terrible -

1) The RV sites are parallel to the screen, so the closest RV that pulls in blocks the view of other RV's (drive-in's always had cars face the screen, not park sideways and block view with a 50' Motorhome). The 50amp tie-in with the largest motorhomes are closest to the screen.

2) The park is brightly lit, which washes out the image - they use a digital projector broadcast from a DVD, so it's difficult to see the image due to the surrounding lights street light - also, every site has a lit bulb on its power supply which makes it hard to see the screen if your sitting outside in chairs.

3) The radio broadcast only reaches for a few sites around the broadcast booth - I was at the end furthest from the screen and the broadcast did not reach me at all - poor static reception for those closer - Fine within 4-5 sites to the screen. An easy fix, the antenna needs to be moved from the broadcast booth near the screen to the center of the park.

4) This is likely a temporary problem. The manager, Lori, was exceptionally rude to me, as well as other guests. From the first call when I inquired about power and what movie they would play, she was curt. She seems to hate her job and maybe people in general, which is a shame because working at a RV Park should be fun, you get to meet lots of people from around the country.

5) If you call in for a reservation, you will be assigned a spot a few rows back from the screen - I assume this is meant to leave the spots in front of the screen open as RV's are huge and block the screen, but that means people who pull in after the office closes will have the best sites and block the view of people who made reservations. Don't make reservations.

The drive-in RV site is a great concept, but they need to improve projector, block lights from shining directly on the screen, be able to turn off the lights next to the RV so it's not in the way when sitting in chairs, move the antenna (or boost its power), ideally shift the sites so they are facing the screen and one huge RV won't block the view of an entire row, give best spots to those with reservations (or maybe small kids) and finally hire a manager who wants to work at an RV park and enjoys their job, not someone who is combative and curt - we are all traveling to have fun.

On the positive side, the two dog runs are great, some of the largest I've seen. The park is clean (but that may be due to all the rules and regulations posted everywhere which creates an unfriendly atmosphere). The pool table is nice.
