Not dog friendly

Gravel dog park.
Signs all over stating dogs are not allowed on lawns. Mind you, the climate here is desert hot, so the risk of burned feet on blacktop and gravel is high.

Disappointed

We planned our 2016 Family reunion at the beginning of the year at BOOMTOWN CASINO and KOA RV PARK. We were required to sign a contract. They agreed to set a block of rooms in the hotel aside for family members including two rooms for handicap guests and block of spaces in the RV Park so we could be together. When family members called in for the hotel reservation desk was rude and not at all helpful. When the Elders arrived for the handicapped rooms they were not ready. They were supposed to be ready at 1 pm but had to wait until 4 pm before they could get into the room (with no toilet paper and looked like it was never vacuumed). RV Park took all the reservations but when we arrived not one of our reservations were on the books.
The area we were told we could use as our outdoor gathering place had automatic sprinklers and went off twice each day in the area were we setup.
We were very disappointed in our time at Boomtown and will never return. And advise anyone who plans to stay with Boomtown Casino or KOA to check and double check the reservations.

Beautiful travel park....

We stayed at this park between Denver and San Francisco. Tucked on a levee behind a casino, the sites are spacious and the park is very well maintained. Interesting view in back. If you're traveling through and need a space for the night - this is it. Btw. Don't bother walking up to the casino. The service, particularly the food service staff, is terrible. We returned and just ate in the coach.

Nice park with benefits

This park was well maintained and had an excellent late check in process. It's directly behind the Boom Town casino and the extra benefit of security shuttle back and forth is nice if you want a few hours out of your coach. Price was very reasonable too.

Adjacent to Boomtown Hotel & Casino

With our KOA 10% discount card, we paid $39.64 for a FHU back-in site which included cable and Wifi. We were greeted by a great host with great customer service who welcomed us as if we were long lost friends.

The first thing we noticed was the openness around the entire campground. There were a few shade trees scattered about but for the most part it was open. The park was huge with hundreds of sites, most were vacant at this time of the year.

We didn’t use any of the facilities but we checked them all out. The laundry room was attached to the office that had several washer and dryers and a great lounging area with free refreshments. They also had the showers, restrooms attached to the office and were spacious and very private. There was a pool and two spas located right outside the office which looked very inviting but we did not utilize them this trip.

After getting hooked up, we walked back to the office and called security from an available phone. Within minutes he arrived and drove us up the hill to the Casino. For the return trip all we had to do was walk outside to the security booth and again they were there within minutes. We loved the shuttle service, the drivers were very prompt and courteous.

We would highly recommend this place and if we are ever in the area again, we would certainly stay here.
