We camped in site 70 in this park and would have stayed longer if we could have. There are 2 sections to the park; we stayed in the Coquina loop, which is very shady and has secluded campsites. It is just a short walk to the ocean. There are sites very close to the ocean. The other loop is very open with only palm trees for 'shade'. There are a couple of washers and dryers outside the bath house. We loved it here.

This park is mainly inhabited by snow birders in the winter. There are lots of activities, but the pool wasn't open when we were there. The site was larger than usual for this kind of park. We were pretty far away from the office and clubhouse and any facilities. Laundry area was ample. Bathrooms okay, but distant.

The sites here are sand with grass in between. Typical KOA amenities but had a hard time holding on to the wi-fi. It is kind of dark; lots of trees and a dampness in the air. Good barbecue places in the area.

This park is more like a private park than a state park. You can stay for more than 2 weeks; in fact, people stay there all winter. There are lots of activities going on at the social center. Good bathroom and laundry facilities. Not much shade. Some sites are located on the lagoon. It's pretty close to the shore.

This park is pretty full of snow birders (mainly from the midwest), but they do have some spaces available for daily people. There are lots of activities going on in the park each day and a bike trail goes right across the driveway. It is right in the center of Gulf Shores, so lots of restaurants, stores, and other things are close by. Our assigned site was level and easy to get into. Our neighbors next door and across the street quickly pitched in when they saw we needed a compressor. We had a great time here. Nice laundry in the park.

This park is just next to the admission area for Graceland, and just across the street from the mansion. You can just walk thorough the fence and across the parking lot and you are there. It has level sites and decent facilities. Good wi-fi reception.

“Out in the boonies” for Memphis KOA

Although this is the Memphis KOA, it is out in the boonies. There is a tricky exit getting off the expressway. You can see the park from the interstate but it's complex getting there. We were in a site near the road and heard a lot of road noise. There was a decent breakfast, but only one waffle maker and about 6 people waiting for food, so if you are in a hurry, it's not the place to go to eat.

This is one of our favorite campgrounds ever! The sites are all paved, they are all flat, and they are all treed! It is a very lovely campground, broken into sections so that there aren't too many people in one section. And the restrooms...wow! Beautiful. We will definitely stay here anytime we are in the area. The camp host told us that even though it was late September, all the sites would be filled up on the weekend. He was busy going around putting signs on the reserved ones.

This campground is clean and wooded, two things we like. There were a lot of permanent RVers there, working in Dodge, I think. It is just off a big highway, but we were far enough away that we weren't bothered by road noise. The sites are ample and easy to get into. However, it was a bit pricey when trying to compete with the motels in town that also give you a breakfast.

This campground is wide open; no trees and hot in September. However, the campsites are large and level. When we were there, you had to choose a campsite and then go back to the entrance to pay and indicate your campsite, which was a real pain. But you can't beat the price!
