Fun stay

We stayed in this park twice going and returning from SanAntonio . Very convenient and great Wifi. Quiet with grass and level spots. Easy to get into from highway. Pleasant helpful management. Definitely stay there again. Reasonable rates.

Come to this park!

First time here. Read reviews. I'm half way through Texas and need a stop. So I loaded pictures and here is the review:
Laundry, restrooms and all park fixtures well maintained. The views, convenience of access, site layouts and landscape 5 stars. Fishing (did not fish, stayed 1 night): Guadeloupe bass, black bass, catfish, perch seems perfect from here. Don't worry, there is a South Llano park too! So I was a full timer for 3 years and if I were staying for a month or more I would come here. If I lived anywhere within two hours I would make it a week or two yearly! I here kayak and canoe activity is at South Llano. Surrounding stores and businesses make for more convenience. I did not give it five stars because if I did I would have to move here!

Home again!

Not too many reviews and I'm reviewing again, but it has been a year and I'm glad to be back.
This is our Winter home and my opinion is admittedly biased. We like the town of Junction and this park.
The "Junction" here is the junction of the North and South branch of the Llano River. This Rv Park, as the name implies, is on the North Branch of the river. Watch for the opening, in 2016, of a new park constructed by the same family ownership as this park. This park will be on the South Branch of the Llano, called the South Llano River Rv Park. This is a bigger, wider river with more water activities.
This park remains a premium park with beautiful grounds that are maintained daily. The sites are well placed with lots of room. All sites have a grill and picnic table. The bigger sites also have a patio and pergola with furniture. The bigger sites will accommodate a 40+ rv unit and a tow. These sites are in the highest demand and filled almost every night, definitely call first for these specific sites. There are many smaller sites; smaller rv's can almost always be accommodated. The roads and sites are hard packed river-rock gravel which is dragged on a weekly basis. Sites are leveled when available. The utilities are convenient. Cable tv is occasionally snowy but otherwise good. Wi-Fi can be a struggle when the park is full. The park does not have a lot of bandwidth allotted. Better times are coming fibre-optic cable is being laid along I-10.
The park lies along the North Llano River and is very accessible for fishing, water fun, or just a nice walk. The park has the river on one side and mountains on two sides. It is a beautiful area to just sit and take it all in.
As arid as West Texas is they manage to have green lawns and mature pecan trees for shade.
The typical KOA style A-frame office also contains the bathrooms and laundry. The office is very friendly and efficient, staffed by workampers, who are well versed on reservations and procedures. This is a very comfy office with rv supplies; take a look around. The laundry is new with four of each machine. The bathrooms/showers are KOA style and could be updated but are sparkling clean and very comfortable. They are cleaned daily and monitored by staff during the day. We used them every day without a problem.
This park is 1/4mi from the I-10 interchange with US83 and US377. There are six big interstate style gas stations catering to trucks, each has its own fast-food franchise. It is a dangerous and very busy interchange with a lot of air brakes and the occasional "jake-brake". Not much you can do. The noise is not overwhelming because it is not trucks at high speed, but rather the noise of jockeying for pump positions. Actually I find the light pollution more disappointing. All said, lets face it, the gas and diesel are handy as is all the fast food opportunities.
This is a great park in a wonderful little town, my only disappointment is that no one stays long enough to enjoy it all. Everyone is always passing through on their way in a hurry, too bad for them, their loss.

Wide Open Spacing

I love that the sites in this park are not craned together. Swimming pool, windmill, Bar-B-Qs, picnic tables, rocking chairs all help to make this a comfy place to stay. And I mention the WIDE OPEN RV SPACES! They even have a few bunk houses for those who just need a pillow to lay their head on. Sorry my pics are so dark it was a cloudy morning. Good Sam Member price. Quiet and not lit up like a baseball park at night. I would definitely stay here long term $325/month.

Jewel in West Texas

I'm staggered by the bad review on this site, almost makes me wonder if they got the wrong park. We spent last Winter at this park Nov-May and will be going back again.
This park is on the Llano River just inside the town of Junction about a 1/2 mile from the I-10 interchange.
Road noise is minimal, but the interchange is not in town and you'll hear "jake brakes". Some light pollution is also present.
This park has big-rig sites with stone patios, a pergola, lawn furniture, and grill. All sites are pull through and many are 30/50. There always seems to be sites for B & C size rv's but the diesel-pushers should probably make a reservation. The rv sites are all full-hook up with cable, wi-fi is good. The sites are leveled almost weekly. This is a very well maintained park.
The river offers fishing and kayaking or just enjoying. The park has a small pool and play lot for kids. There is a fenced dog run. The bathrooms are very typically old KOA but are cleaned daily and very comfortable. The laundry is new. The office has a small store with rv necessities and is nice to visit just for the fun of it.
The real asset here are the people. The resident managers are working hard every day to make this everything you need and want during your stay. The workkampers are obviously carefully chosen for people skills. What a great group! They all became our friends over the Winter and still are.
Two things mentioned: the park is gate code controlled if you arrive late just pull into overflow. You'll have power and a place to stay. Off I-10 head toward Junction, after crossing the bridge over the Llano be prepared to turn right at the foot of the bridge. It is not that hard.
The town is just down the road with a good grocery store, restaurants, and other shopping. It is a nice little town.

Not Fancy, But Nice!

The sites were full, but they set us up with a spot in their overflow area (30 Amp power & water) All we needed was 1 night anyway. They also told us there's no problem dumping our tanks in the morning. Very nice lady at the desk. Very nice gentleman who led us to our site. Nice Store. Nice Pool! Very Dog Friendly! Would not hesitate to stay here again!!

Disappointment all the way around

My family pulled into the park at about 10:00 pm and actually missed the turn into the park because of the poor signage. Once we got in our RV was inundated with dust. It was like driving through a dust storm. We woke up early the next morning to get in the road and again got our RV filled with dust. The kids were coughing and sneezing and the RV was a cloud. On top of it all we had to pay $45 for this very disappointing nights stay. This place is not worth the money.

We're sorry you were disappointed with your stay. We are a bit confused as to why you paid $45. Our rates are $25-$36 depending on what type of discount you have. Children under 12 always stay free. Yes, at times we do have dust but generally we don't have a big problem with it unless campers are going over the speed limit. We do hope the rest of your trip was safe and enjoyable.
