This was a fun place to stay close to home. The staff was helpful and the other campers were pleasant. This park is mostly seasonal with only a few transient spots. I reccomend it anyway just for how nice it id.

We camped here 10/14-10/16 after a week full of rain. When we arrived our site was a total swamp. My dad's coach got stuck trying to pull into the site. The staff pulled him out with a tractor and moved us to their overflow spots. Even though we were right on the road we made the best of it. The owners made the weekend fun with crafts and a hay ride along with pumpkin decorating contests, trick or treating, and a band in the evening. Great time, I'll be back again.
We got there to find a letter asking everyone to use their AC minimally and switch refridgerator and hot water heater to propane to conserve electric. We did and found that, with the 100 degree weather, our camper would not cool off. We asked if there was anything that could be done and got a terrible attitude from a gentleman in the office. Ended up arguing over the fact, got accused of not being a camper and told never to return. Left one night early. The ladies in the front office were very nice, couldn't really say anything bad about them and they are refunding one night's stay. It was unfortunate that it had to come down to an argument (and the guy stepping in my face in an attempt to intimidate me). I think they guy was just a hot head and probably should leave the customer service to the ladies. The campground was really beautiful, they had a nice pool, huge lake, etc. I would have just liked fair warning that my trip would be miserably hot because of the poor condition of the campgrounds electric. At $40/night, I expected a little bit better.
