Nice campground but nickel and dime you

Overall we had a good stay. Lake is nice and campground is average. Very tight camping spots with lots of small posts lining the spots that are easy to hit. Biggest complaint was all the extra fees. Kids are extra, pets are extra, boat is extra, the dump is $25, they have laundry and showers but they force you to buy $5 cards when laundry is $1.50 and dryer is $1.75 per load so you can never buy just what you need.
One last thing, they have a 3 strike rule, we got one for being too loud at 10 pm (that was justified, but a simple keep it down would have been fine) then we got another for the dog being off lash in our camp site...problem is it wasn't our dog but the neighbors dog. Anyway there was no point arguing so we sucked it up. Doubt we will go back to be honest.

Great campground... Worth the extra money

Kids loved the creek and wild animals. We loved the trees and quiet location. Everything top notch. Close to free shuttle to explore the town. Highly recommend this campground.

Great for kids, hiking and mountain biking

Lots of trails and trees, Small playground, large grass area and very clean. Sites are on dirt so they can be hard to get level. There is a creek that runs in the fall to play in. As far as I know there is no dump station and the lake down the road is not the nicest thing I have seen. The town of Idylwild up the road is very cool, very artsy and lots of small town shops to explore.

Nice but tight

This is a great beach campground. Located right on the beach which closes at 10 pm so you have the whole place to yourself. Fire rings on the sand for smores at night. Campground itself is nothing special so it is all about the beach. Dump on site but no sewer hookups.
