Great camping
We have camped here every year for Columbus day weekend. We camp with groups of friends and enjoy the many amenities the campground has. They close all but the B loop after 31October. Great bike & hiking trails, boat ramps & parking. Large clean bath houses. Wonderfully friendly staff. Make sure to watch the sunset over the water.
Getting There:
From South Hill, VA: Take Route 58 W to Route 4 (Buggs Island Rd). Follow for 6 miles and bear right at the Dam. Park entrance will be 200 yards ahead on the left.
Alerts and Important Information
Due to ongoing construction projects in North Bend Park as part of the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act, campsites will be CLOSED and Re-opened periodically throughout Recreation Season 2010 (April 1 - October 31).
