Coles Point RV pPark

Coles Point has just been recently sold but not sure which direction it's heading. Most of the lots are year round rented and it's apparent most of them have been there for a while. There are only a handful of lots available for short term renting. All pads are gravel and the ones available only have 30 amp service. No wifi or cable. Restrooms are clean and stocked. The Landing at Coles Point is a nice restaurant and docking is available for boats. The RV office is located in the same building as the restaurant. You have to go to http://www.colespointmarina.com/directions.html to make reservations and there is no map available online of the RV park. Additionally, the lots are not clearly marked so finding your lot is a challenge. A "full service lot" that includes water, sewer is $45. You have to pay an extra $5 for electricity. The people in the park were very friendly and helpful but saying hello to some of the long term residents will get you an earfull on the latest park gossip. Be prepared to pull your leg away. Overall the park needs to sink some money to rehabbing the lots and would probably do well to upgrade electric, install cable, and manage their website better. A lot of historical sites in the area would attract many visitors.
