Beautiful Campground

We stayed here 27 days in our motorhome. The main reason for coming here was to say I had fished the Battenkill river but it was a wonderful visit.
Most sites are in the trees although there are some around the field which are in the sun. We saw everything from tents, pop-ups, travel trailers, 5th wheel, large and small motorhomes. This campground is very busy during the summer through Labor Day so you really should make reservations. They do have several overflow sites but we saw many of these filled while we were there.
There are many seasonal sites. The people in those sites come from as far away as Florida to spend the summer. We met many of those people and they treated us like we had been coming there for years. We really felt at home. They even gave me information about where to go and what flies to use in fishing.!!
The people running the office and working around the campground would stop when we were outside and ask if everything was going the way we wanted and then just visit for a while.
The cable TV is not anything to write home about but then we were not there to watch TV - we could stay home to do that.
We highly recommend this campground for a day, several days or a month. It is a beautiful campground in a beautiful and historic area.

Treats campers as nothing but money. Poor customer service.

Treats campers as nothing but money for them. I came with my pregnant wife and two young kids. We reserved our spot weeks in advance. When we got there we were told spots in the field were first come first serve and to choose our own. I was at a meeting out of town for the day. I in fact rode my bicycle to the meeting 10 miles away since my wife was pregnant and has never driven the RV. Wile I was away the manager come to my wife and says a larger group was coming and my pregnant wife and young kids would have to pack up and move our RV to make room for the group. My pregnant wife had to pack up the whole rv, wake my napping daughter and relocate the RV while I was away. Then the first RV from the other group lets their dog out to run free and knocks over my 2 year old daughter over on its way to get into a fight with my dog leashed to our RV. I spoke to "Management" about the whole incident and they simply say we couldn't park where we were even though it was a designated spot. Of course an RV from the other group was able to take the spot. I guess our one RV didnt pay enough as a few RVs in a group. And of course they already collected our money upfront. Forget this park. They could care less about anyone on their sight. Your just a number to them.
