Location, location!

This park provides ocean access, ocean views and great location (1.5 miles to downtown Anacortes) & only 8 miles to the San Juan Island Ferry's. It has a nice paved walking/bike path that goes thru the park and ends in downtown making it a quick relaxing way to get to town. The services here are nice as well - strong Internet being the best thing! I wish they had extended cable programs (I miss my HGTV:) and more space in between the RV sites in the RV section that is closer to the Fidalgo Bay Road. But overall, this is an excellent resort. We took a Ferry to San Juan and it was easy, and a nice day. We also drove to Whidbey Island to look around, but frankly we both agreed staying in Anacortes gives you the best of everything; a nice town, great forest drives, easy access to the mainland and you don't feel trapped on an island as you would on one of the San Juan Islands. Hope you enjoy the park as we did.

Seaside and full of flowers

This is the second time we stayed here, both experiences were good enough to keeps coming back. The first time we were trying to dodge a heat wave that engulfed the northwest. The second time was cooler and wetter, but still pleasant. The resort has several levels of sites, from bay front to standard, the first trip we stayed at the bay front, the second was a standard. The only difference was the view and the width of the site. There was a third option, a slightly wider site with a covered table. The wifi and the cable tv worked as advertised and all of the hookups were correct. The roads were gravel and the sites were level.

Fidalgo Bay RV Resort

Stayed here using their "winter" rate of 30% off the daily rate. The catch is that you have to stay at least two nights to get the rate, which is good through April. Once you have met the "two night" criteria, you can extend one night at a time at the 30% off rate. The park has three different rates, depending on the section you take. The 30% off rate only applies to certain sections of the park. I don't think it applies to the front section facing the ocean (which, as of this writing is about $60!). The 30% off rate is cheaper than the weekly rate. I stayed in the back of the park (the "low rent" section). The best part was that I was close to the showers and laundry in this section. Wi-Fi reception was decent. However, in the back of the park, you will get heavy road noise. Restrooms and showers were clean. Great laundry area. The park has a beautiful clubhouse that can be rented for special occasions. Both the clubhouse and the laundry room have "book trades." I wouldn't call this a "destination" park, but it's good for a winter stay. The regular rates to me are way too high!
