Not a very nice place to stay in a tent
I admit, I should have made the reservations instead of my husband. He doesn't know the area well and didn't do much research, but we wanted to watch the fireworks and the light show at Grand Coulee on the 4th so he found this 'resort' 10 miles outside of Coulee City (which is a 45 min drive to Grand Coulee). Then when we arrived we see our spot ... right next to the road. Well there were some camp sites open right on the lake so we asked if we could switch and they very nicely let us. While the morning and early afternoon were very nice that first day on the lake, by late afternoon the wind picked up and blew all night. We assumed it was a small storm that came through, but the the second night was even worse. We talked to a regular there that said it was a daily occurrence. We didn't stick around for a third night. It sure would have been nice if the owners had warned us.
Friendly staff, but that's about it.
Not a 4star (or 3 or 2 for that matter). The staff was very friendly and we did not have much choice as everything was full. We knew it wouldn't be great, and are usually pretty easy going. The facilities (bathrooms and such) were quite clean and well maintained. The garbage cans were filthy and the smell was everywhere. The swimming area was very small but great for our 2 year old. The last night there (we stayed 3) our neighbors partied until 2am. I had to go out and ask to quiet down (no result). Had a grumpy daughter and wife the next morning. They were partying with all the regulars in the park so I am sure this is a regular occurrence.
