On the banks of the Columbia River
What a beautiful park! Paved roads, paved sites. Lots of space between sites and around sites. Grass all over the place. Shade if you want it, sun if you want it. Lovely restrooms, clean, modern, tiled. Showers do require tokens (3 minutes for a token). Self-registration. Can only sign up for 1 day at a time when registrations are being taken (until end of September).
At the confluence of the Columbia and Wenatchee Rivers, you can go sit on a bench at the edge of the park and watch the rivers go by. An 11 mile bike trail loop starts/ends at the park. Open year round with no water at the sites during the winter; water is available at a central area that is well insulated. If you camp here, be sure to visit the dam (fish ladder, good museum) and Ohme Gardens.
