Stay away!

We spent a week at the park and it is in terrible condition. The sites are half washed out and not maintained. One bathhouse was closed due to lack of repairs. The park water system failed the bacteria test and we were given 3 small bottles of water per day. Not everyone was notified of the water problem. Where is the money going?

This is an excellent State Park and the highest point in Alabama. Excellent pool, trails, restr, however, the sites needs a re-work. They are unlevel(you will need blocks for your levelers) and they need to try to control the erosion problems. We saw wildlife in the park and a swimming beach beside the pool. We like to bring our grandchildren back, however, I would like to see a better site that would fit my MH.
