Wow! Awesome park!
We stayed here with our fifth wheel and thoroughly enjoyed it. The gentleman who greeted us was extremely friendly and knowledgable. He guided us in and filled us in on all the details. The site was wide and level. We had everything we needed, including a gigantic dog walk. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. Good Sam Park.
Large, clean, but just not special.... yet
It was hard to find. My Rand McNally GPS tried to direct me to the other side of the highway.
Park is large, well kept, and roads are a combination paved and gravel. Most of the inner roads are gravel, as are the spaces. Both are wide, level, and easy to maneuver. There is a grassy area next to most spaces, along with a picnic table. There are also a few large trees, and lots of smaller ones that have been planted. But it will be a while before these provide any sort of shade. The people in the office were friendly, and noted all the items that were available at this facility, along with their rules and regulations. There was a store inside the office, and ice was available for sale. Bathrooms, Laundromat, and showers were located attached to the office. The trash dump was at the front of the park, and a dog park was located across from the playground. There were also a number of dog walk areas located around the park perimeter. As I said everything seems well cared for, just needs some time for the trees to mature. and perhaps a pool would be a nice feature considering the heat in the summer. This park is located quite a ways out from the city, capital and downtown historic monuments in Montgomery. But the sights downtown are worth the drive. And this park is located pretty close off the main freeway. Most of the campers here seemed to be trailers and 5th wheels. (Nothing wrong with that, just my observation). A few looked like they are there for the "season", or this is their home. (I saw some trucks with work numbers, painted on them parked by the trailers. And some had flower boxes, flag poles in their space. Even though it was close to the main highway, road noise was almost non-existent. They have free Wi-Fi and it worked well, (when I could get connected). There are gas stations and local shopping in the vicinity, along with businesses selling antiques, and a farmers market. (You should check for what days they are open). This park is a Good Sam member. We were passing through, but I would go back and use this facility again, and would recommend this park to others. I think in time, with the growth of the trees, this will become an exceptional park.
