Brrrr
Nice scenery. Big rig friendly. F/HU.
Nice area to walk around.
Beautiful
I stay in the Catfish Cabin in Meaher State Park and me and my husband really enjoyed our stay there . The view in the morning of the sunrise was just beautiful on the water. Watching the fisher men get ready every morning,
We can't wait to return there, the cabin was very clean and cozy :)
Our first real trip.
This was our first real trip (more then one night).
It was nice and quit.
We were came prepared for the ants but somehow they still got in. But being sugar ants that's not to bad. The park was clean and has a very nice fishing pier. We did catch a few but no keepers. The batch is is not the best only had to use it a few times. We would go back. Sorry I am not a big review writer..
Why wait
They do take big rigs they have plenty of room.
Great State Park!
Meaher State Park is one of the best state parks we have stayed at. It had full hookups with sewer too! It was clean, had lots of room, and was located in a quiet, great place.
Although I cannot recommend visiting Mobile, Alabama, I would recommend staying at Meaher State Park. It is a relaxing place to spend a few days and enjoy some southern nature.
Would I recommend this park? Absolutely. Would we come back? Yes, we will stay a few more days if we return to the area.
Right on Mobile Bay
Wow! This park sits on the bay and there are a line of sites directly on the bay. Even if you aren't on the bay itself you are only 2 or 3 rows away from it and can see it clearly. The roads and pads are all paved. The bathrooms are clean and modern.
Loved it here. Not much exciting, but the park is huge (1,300 square feet) and most of it is across a very busy street.
Park is open year round.
The generic pet notes above were not at all accurate in our experience. We stayed in May 2010, had no pet fees, no deposits and no problems walking anywhere in the park with our two dogs. Great place to stay, lots of wildlife (birds and alligators). Great access to the water.
