Nice park

Camped 2 nights on way to Vicksburg. Rainy so we didn't get out much. I didn't have wifi or cell service, maybe due to weather? Popular with fishermen. Maybe it was pre season but she gave us a discount. It's a nice place but choose your site carefully, some have drop offs.

Favorite Park in Arkansas

We have been camping at Chicot State Park for over 10 yrs.and have never been disappointed once. The wildlife is fun to watch and birds are plentiful for you to watch and the squirrels antics and even saw a doe with triplets running around in the fields.Camping sites are #1 with sewer, water and wifi and many many shade trees (Pecan) everywhere in the park and is located close to Greenville Mississippi and local Lake Village with everything you need and casinos just right beside the Mississippi River for those who like to gamble and sites to see everywhere you look or drive. We highly recommend this place to rest and relax with no problems.

Lake Chicot State Park

Lake Chicot State Park-just got here and stayed 1 night of 4, so will write a better review later. First impression is good, road in was a bit small. I will research if there is a better way in. Much rain w/high water but RV area F is good without standing water. Lake and (pecan?) trees are very nice.

Beautiful quiet park

We stayed here overnight in October. There were very few people in the park. We stayed in area F in a pull thru site. The side of our rig faced the lake. What a beautiful scene. The lake has great fishing. We watched a couple of guys clean a ice chest full of fish. There is a store that sells bait and some camping items that is open until November. We saw quite a few deer also. We would definitely go back. Our rate paid reflects America the Beautiful discount

Sitting in a pecan grove

We were the only ones here in late January, so we pretty much had our choice of sites. They put us in a lovely, flat site right on the lake. The lake is one of the Mississippi oxbows and has lots of cypress trees sitting in it. Lovely dock right next to us. I call this area (sites 113 to 127)the 'elder place' because there are no sites across the road. If you want company, go to areas A through E.
Bathhouse is acceptable but a little worn around the edges. There is a swimming pool, open in the summer. Softball field and basketball court in Area A.
