Quiet and Relaxing
A really nice quite large campground that is near the shores of Beaver Lake, and close to all of the conveniences of the nearby city of Rogers. With over 100 campsites there is a space here for just about any type of camper, although spaces for large trailers and motor-homes are limited. Sites 72-80 are optimal for the larger ones and are the only sites in the entire campground with a dedicated fresh water tap. Most of the sites are partially or fully-shaded. The park is quite hilly, some leveling will definitely be needed which ever site you've chosen.
None of the sites have sewer hookup but there is a complimentary dump station near the park entrance. We were able to use our satellite antenna at site 72 but not many of the larger sites would offer a clear view of the southern sky. You can ask the park attendant over a telephone call before finalizing your plans and reservation.
The park offers limited hiking, there is only one trail that we found and it's a very short one at just one mile. On the plus side the amount of wildlife is terrific; numerous deer are inside the park and can be seen at almost any time at just about any particular location. There are some shorebirds, as well as many other birds that are often seen around the campsites. We were regularly visited by bluebirds.
The park is very quiet, albeit we visited during the week. It's about one half mile or so off the main Hwy 12 thru town. The park has a marina and boat launch that can be quite busy early in the morning and then again late afternoon/early evening. They are located further down the hill from the upper campsites and did not present any excessive noise.
We camped here in a travel trailer and would return for another visit.
