Arsenic in well water beware!
This park has been under a mandate now for well over a year to provide clean safe drinking water to all residents and guests but fail to tell anyone about this mandate from Az ADEQ. The arsenic levels are 3 times greater than safe limits. Stay away unless you fill your water tanks prior to your stay. The staff fails to tell anyone one of this, even if you ask them !
great price for location
Rio Verde RV park is only 15 mins from Sedona so it close to all the action without the price. The park is older BUT that means lots of big shade trees and the views of the river are wonderful. The facilites are clean and people there seem like they care. The weekend we were there there were pony rides for the little kids. There normal rate per night is $35 but they do offer a Good Sam discount
Thanks for a Great Stay!!!
We stayed at Rio Verde RV Park for 4 nights in May of 2012 and really enjoyed it. The folks in the office, Helen and LeAnna, were most gracious and helpful. We were in site 55 by the river - private, quiet and very nice. Thanks for a great stay! (we didn't use the public facilities but many other folks did)

RUDE LADY IN THE FRONT OFFICE
The lady in the front office stayed on the phone for over 14 minutes never once said "I'll be right with you" or even looked at me. I casually walked out and checked out the property and stopped back in. She was still on the phone, I waited a couple of minutes and left. That WAS INCREDIBLY RUDE!!! I WILL NEVER GO BACK! I showered and wore decent camping clothes too!
So Much to Do!
Helpful & Friendly staff, knowledgeable of the area and the many recreation / tourist activities available. Quaint Old Towne Cottonwood Park centrally located in the Verde Valley and only 15 minutes from either Sedona or Jerome. Quiet community atmosphere. Walking trails adjacent to the park into the Coconino National Forest and fishing in the Verde River. Can't wait to visit again in the Spring!
