Go To Place

We have rv'd here several times in the past few years and we have never been disappointed. I know I have reviewed this before and I had to update again. The 60's numbered spaces are always a great c;hoice. We have a fifth wheel with three slides, 30', and all of these spaces are accommodating. We enjoy the rock view behind the RV space and it is quiet.

They have updated the office area and the staff is always pleasant and informative of events in Prescott. It's always a place to head to on a journey up north from Phoenix.

Camp in the forest around the Dells of Lake Watson

We chose this park over the rest in the area based on it’s location to Prescott and Prescott Valley but, mostly for it’s hiking trails and Lake Watson. The park has camping atmosphere even though there are some full time or long term occupants there. You really do not notice them because everyone keeps up their place. The camping spaces have trees in between that give you privacy. All the utilities work. Critters do come in your camp so don’t leave anything out. Always a good rule to follow especially in places like this. The trails around the dells to the lake are amazing. So many photo ops. The park is close to the newer shopping and dinning in Prescott Valley and it is also 10 minutes away from Old Prescott where you feel like every great mountain resort you have ever been too. The history is amazing and Whiskey Row is a must place to check out. For dinning, you have to check out the Palace complete with 1800’s bullet holes in the ceiling. The cons about the park are few, the road is dirt so you get holes after the rains, the restrooms are very old. The shower stalls are very small. I am not a big person but, you can’t bend over in the shower. The camping spots need to have some of their trees trimmed so your slide out won’t hit the branches. We have had ants come in the refrigerator air ducts off trees before.
We have been full time RVer’s since I retired and because of my background I tend to do my research on places we stay all across America (Google Earth, Good Sam, KOA and this RV Review web site and it’s reviewers have been a big help). We have a 40 ft. rig (my 28 ft. RV pulls my 12 ft. garage that carries my HD so I prefer Pull Thru’s). We look for Locations close to our reason for being there, Accessibility for our rig, Park Appeal (inviting and not run down or the look of Meth Labs), Parks that enforce their noise and pet rules, Amenities, Good accessible and working Hook Ups, We have our own Internet source so we don’t care about Park Wifi and we have a satellite so we look for no overhanging trees. It is all about just how comfortable you can make R'ving fun an enjoyable.

Nice people

A rustic camp ground nestled in a beautiful area North of Prescott. Love our site it is the first one we have had to pull in that isn't a pull through. It is very private, no noise and pet friendly.
