Port in a storm

This was our first night on a month long trip.
And to stay close to the freeway, (as we were headed off the next morning), we chose this park. My overall opinion, better than a WalMart parking lot. I guess I really expected more, and did not do my due diligence beforehand. A very small park, some small tress here and there, some shrubs, mostly oleander, (watch your pets as these are poisonous). The roads are paved, the spaces are gravel, but level. there are a bit narrow. We got in and out ok, but your neighbors just seem to be right on top of you. We arrived before closing time, 9 per their site), but the office was closed. We found our paperwork on the door, and drove to our designated spot. The people in the office arrived bit late in the morning, and we were ready to go, but as we had not been able to pay the evening before, I needed for them to get set up, so I could pay and depart. The people were friendly, there is no store, or ice on premise. There is a laundry area. The park was clean. They have free Wi-Fi but as we arrived late, they did not write the code on our paperwork, so we were no able to use it. It is centrally located, and freeway close. The park was clean and well kept, just nothing special. It's a place to park off the road at a night. With so many RV parks in this area, I'll do a little more checking for my next time thru. I think you can tell, I would not stay here again. and really don't recommend it.

Be careful if you stay here.!

We signed up and paid to stay six nights at Apache Palms. You can imagine our shock on the third night we returned to park at 9:30PM and found our space rented! Had to find alternative accommodations late at nite! Next morning they had two different stories as to why they rented our space. We have a brand new cab over camper and were not allowed to dismount according to their rules so space was empty during day. Hope this doesn't happen to you. It is a scary feeling having to look for alternate accommodations late at night when you have already paid for space.
