Adventure??

Adventure Bound Camping Resort in Tucson, AZ is actually Cactus Country, located on Houghton Rd., Tucson, AZ. it is nothing like the advertising suggests. Adjectives: quaint, quiet, dated, many permanent residents, pool / spa not clean. Landscaping is fabulous and the WIFI kicks butt. The sewer connection was broken, the sites are close together, did I say dated? There was no adventure, the full timers were not friendly, the staff was non existent. Noise from planes, trains and automobiles. High priced, exaggerated amenities, very dated. This place could be awesome with a lot of TLC.

OK and Very Quiet

We stayed here after escaping Voyager RV Resort (nearby) and it was like a breath of fresh air. It is in the middle of a wide open area and it is very friendly. While nothing special, we were so pleased to be able to walk around and even go for a hike with our pet without anyone yelling at us, that I likely gave this one more star than it deserves. It is located near I-10, but not too close to hear noise. The mountains for hiking and sightseeing are about 30 minutes north. People are friendly. I don't remember what the WiFi was like, so I cannot comment on it. I would go back here again.

Clean and good amenities.

Stayed a week. Large dog park. Close to the National park. Beautiful landscaping. We picked a corner lot by the dog park which had a view of the awesome sunsets.

A little worse every year

We have stayed here every Feb. for about the last 5-6 years running. Unfortunately, the quality slips a little every year. The WiFi has gone from usable to complete garbage. The showers barely worked and after complaining multiple times, they finally fixed 1 shower 2 weeks later.

Family friendly in Tucson

When in Tucson or Pheonix Arizona in January with kids, one can not be picky about the RV Park one stays in. While we loved Tucson, we had a hard time finding an RV campground that would accept kids (or Patsy and I for that matter, not being over 55). We lucked out with Adventure Bound Tucson RV Park, otherwise known as Cactus Country RV Park (what the sign says). It was a bit pricier than we are accustomed to paying since no parks in the Tucson or Pheonix area honor half-price clubs in the winter. They did let us have the 10% discount.

Very nice folks who did not get mad when we decided to stay an extra day and forgot to pay!

Amazing views, lot of birds and trees and cacti. A good 20 minutes from the edge of Tucson. Good and bad. Nice bathrooms, slight odor that only the picky noses in our family smelt. Our lot was 45 feet wide. not bad. Not all of them are this wide though.

Heated pool and hot tub. Small playground. A few activities we did not take part in. They really worked hard at keeping the park clean and well manicured.

Two laundry facilities, lending (not swapping) library, wifi is not very good. They sell propane, small store, we had back-in site. Clothes-line to save money on laundry!
Everyone in our family enjoyed Tucson and this park helped make our stay fun!
