Traveler Reviews
Quiet and serene
There were few people staying in the campground. Nice walk in the morning to the beach. Did not see any wildlife except a crane.
We got there during the night. Could not find camp host. We were new to RVing. So didn't realise about night registration, got violation note.
Clean and well looked after, though a bit dated.
$5 for dumping
Close to Hearst Castle, but overpriced
We stayed here at the main campground for two days while visiting Hearst Castle. It was almost completely vacant. The sites are nicely spaced with vegetation between them for privacy. All parking is paved with a maximum of 35' depth. The restrooms were clean and the staff courteous, but the generator rules only allow use between the hours of 10:00 am and 8:00 pm. This may be reasonable during the summer, but during the winter when the sun sets at 4:30 pm and the temperatures drop to freezing, it is a burden. We stayed here in a travel trailer.
