Nicely placed in gorcious environment
We arrived later in the evening after making a reservation via the phone (which was promt and adequate). It was raining and due us only staying one night we had a site up front of the park. Night entry meant that we found on the office door what our site was.
It was a grass overgrown area which was not totally levelled.
Next morning we saw a beautyfull environment and looking at the possibilities it look very good.
The restroom looked neatly maintained and nothing seemed to be broken.
We were friendly helped in the office and while taking in propane.
Definetly a stop we will take another time, although it is not that close to the 101.
Price is a bit on the high side (tax included).
Nothing special
Small, unlevel sites. Discourteous campers playing radios too loud, unleashed dogs shirting in neighboring camp sites. Wifi not working. Just not pleasant. But the staff was nice when checking in and views from certain locations in the park are beautiful. Negatives outweigh the positives.
Beauty abounds
This KOA's setting is stunning. There aren't as many amenities (for kids, at least) as there are at some KOAs, but the serene setting more than makes up for it. Great on-site hiking trails to boot. 4 stars instead of 5 because it is near impossible to talk to a live person on the phone. Overall a great spot, though.
