Right on Beach!!
We came to stay for one night, just passing through. We ended up staying three nights because of the location. Our site #17 was about twenty steps from the ocean beach. We had full hook ups, (newer electrical box) you could hear the wave from our camper, it was very relaxing. The sites are really a good size. We scoped out the other sites and decided sites 20,21,22 were probably a bit nicer because of the total view(ocean and lighthouse). The staff was nice to us, this camp site is run by the city now, we paid each day not knowing how long we were going to stay and usually didn?t get to the office until after noon to pay and they were very easy going about it. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. The cost was $42 per night, if you have time take the lighthouse tour $5 each person, it was very nice and informative. Would give a 5 star rating if it had been more attractive to look at. Perhaps trees and grass, just my preference.
Improved extensively
Great place. All sites FHU plus cable. 20-30-50a all sites. Most are pull thrus. Strong WiFi. Price is for three days.
Nice Older Campground
City owned. We stayed just before the remodeling was scheduled. Facilities were outdated but clean with very hot showers. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The overall campground was all grass and trees. Panoramic beach view. Everyone staying was having the best time. I would highly recommend this campground.
Needs to be refurbished
Location good! The facilities are run down! The laundry and showers are clean but very old! No privacy ! It is a big lot with grassy area without any threes! Very windy !
Smell That Salt Air
Stopped here for two nights and had a great time. It's close to the coast and we could hear the fog horn warning sailors.
The site was a pull-thru with full hookups and cable. The staff friendly and allowed us to pick the site we wanted. There is no shade for the RV's but some I think in the tent camping area.
Restaurants and shopping is nearby. Safeway was about three blocks.
This was a good place for us to park our RV and take a rental car to explore the Redwoods.
As with any place close to the salt air corrosion happens. The showers were adequate but one was unusable and capped.
