If you really want to be camping in Death Valley...
...I suppose this is where you want to be at this time. Furnace Creek campground was closed when we were there; renovations are supposed to be finished soon, in time for the season.
This campground has spaces marked out in white paint on the gravel and sits in the full sun. Not my cup of tea when it is over 100 degrees outside. We decided to keep on going rather than camp here.
