Great Winter Escape
This is a primitive campground, but its proximity to the Visitor Center next door and the adjoining Furnace Creek Ranch Resort; make it seem like a more deluxe campground. We enjoyed the free access to both and great hiking in the greater Death Valley area.

*Site 11 is closed indefinitely starting March 2, 2010 due to trenching making the site unsafe and unusable.
* Starting Mid-November 2010, the Furnace Creek Visitor Center will be closed for renovations. We will have a temporary structure located in close proximity to the current Furnace Creek Visitor Center location. The temporary Visitor Center will be staffed to disseminate information, collect fees, and provide Natural History Association sales.
