Traveler Reviews
A bit noisy and very expensive
Stopped by on my rv.
The place is well kept
You will be a couple of blocks from beach. The freeway noise is very loud. El capitan state park across the freeway " where the beach is located " only charges $ 45 less than half.
The people where very nice but
My advice is go somewhere else
Beautiful views
The sites are a bit tight for our 45' beast but we made it. Nice office and staff and level cement pads. It's right off 101, convenient but you do hear the traffic.
I'll stay again on our trips to and from NorCal to SoCal each year if we take 101 again instead of I5.
It is expensive and in April, mostly empty.
We can't fit in state parks. This works.
beautiful park
Ocean Mesa sits on a hillside and many sites have ocean views. It was well maintained and quiet. We spotted a deer on the hill one evening and watched beautiful sunsets. It's a trek into Goleta for dinner out or groceries, but worth it. Very expensive - and the internet is spotty.
Nice swimming pool
Nice swimming pool, expensive but good. 20min walk from the beach.
Too Pricey?
Evidently, the people writing the reviews are not familiar with the Santa Barbara area. Ocean Mesa is rated as one of the top resorts in the states. I have been to other campgrounds in various states and have paid the same price for far less accommodations. We have been going to Ocean Mesa for years and plan to for years to come.
nice but too expensive
The park is well maintained but $90 per night is too much for what you get.
The best RV park
We have been coming here for years, it is such a well run park and so clean. In the Summer Saturday nights they have live music in the canyon, amazing bands. Yes not cheap, that is for the state park across the 101 where you will not sleep from the crowds, terrible bathrooms etc ,etc Our family loves it here, it can book up on the high season so call ahead... We love our Ocean Mesa!!!
Too expensive
Very nice and clean campground but it's way overpriced. We have found campgrounds that offer the same things, just as nice for 1/2 the price. The beach is not an easy walk away, and the noise off the 101 was loud. The coffee at the office/store was $2.25 a cup which had been free at other campgrounds. At $90 a night you would think they could through in a cup of coffee.
Pretty place, but we've been to better for a lot less.
Freeway 101 exit 117
The campground is clean, all paved, bathrooms and toilets are clean and spacious, very expensive. The staff are very helpful and friendly, at night we can hear the busy freeway, not all site have an ocean view, the beach is 5 minute drive from the campground. I think this is a nice campground but we are not coming back..
Best RV Camp so far
Wie were very happy to stay at this place with our RV. Restrooms and showers are very clean and well done. The spots are big and nice. We are recommending this place highly. But it's expensive.
