Love the fishing

Went fishing at fisherman's retreat a couple of weeks ago. Been a long time since i had been there. Too long. The place is good for my soul. Not too far from civilization but it seems like you're somewhere far away. Gotta have something to do with the seclusion of the hills. Anyways, i ended up with a huge bass (in my book, about three pounds) and a couple of bluegill. My son ended up with 4 catfish. Not bad for a few hours on a weekday afternoon. I was impressed with what they have going on here lately. I'll be heading back soon.

A Big Disappointment

We prepaid thru Coast to Coast for out stay and when we checked in had to pay additional $14 per night supposedly for a deluxe site. Our site was a spot in the middle of a crowded dirt area with no table, no pad and barely room to park our car. Went to the pool, the water was green and cloudy, shortly after we got there they shut down the pool and it wasn't opened again while we were there. I heard from another camper that this is typical. Decided to go fishing in the nice ponds - had to pay the resort an additional $15 per person for a resort fishing permit. Bathrooms were in poor repair and not clean. There was entertainment in the evening. Overall, the camp has potential but right now is in poor repair- needs some work. Definitely not worth the money paid.
