Nice weather

Stayed in a site in center section of campground. Had many problems with electric hookup. Even moved to a different site and had trailer go dead. Used it many times since with no electrical issues, so as long as you get a spot on perimeter sites you?re ok.

Nice State Park

This is a nice park with paved sites. The paved part of the site is where you park your trailer and it is surrounded by short pillars. The rest of the site is dirt but they are very spacious. They are also a bit secluded because there are short trees and shrubs on both sides if the site. Great weather with the ocean breezes. I would give it 3.5 stars if I could on the app. The price is high but it is in a very desirable area so I can understand.

Even with the shrubs there is very little shade. Most campers come here to use the beach which is about a mile hike away.

Some sites only have water and electric, no sewer but there is a dump station. It is also close to San Clemente so there is food and shopping near by if that is your thing.

Great Park!

This campground is part of San Onofre State Beach, but is on the opposite side of I-5. Dump station is out of commission. E/W sites available. Trees between sites. Next to Camp Pendleton, so some military activities can be seen and heard. Can hear I-5. Longish hike to famed surf spot, Trestles. Ocean not visible from here. State park prices exorbitant, but we love it anyway. Not as crowded as San Clemente St Park. Not on the freeway like San Onofre St Park. We camp here frequently.
