A little gem right down town!

Stayed a few nights to check out Santa Barbara. The park is small and right on the freeway, but that made it simple going places in our car. Cleanliness was impressive, especially the bathrooms and showers! Staff was friendly and helpful. Great location for bike riding. It took us 15 minutes to ride down town following a bike path that went past the beach.

Noisy

Friendly staff. Near busses to downtown. Very noisy next to highway. And expensive.

Great for visiting Santa Barabara

For this campground, it's all about location. That means city, not park setting. We picked Sunrise because we wanted to visit the city of Santa Barbara, not hang out in the RV park. It's very clean grounds, laundry room and showers. The manager was very nice and helpful.
It's easy to get around the city from here with options like walking, taxi, bus and even a shuttle down by the waterfront.
It's right next to the freeway, but the "sound wall" kept the noise down pretty good. After staying here, we went to the overpriced Ocean Mesa and believe it or not, the sounds of 101 were louder there.
If you aren't looking for nature and realize you are in the city, you shouldn't be coming up unpleasantly surprised.
Con: Pulling in and out of the sites is tight.
Cost: $65 for 2 adults, 2 kids and 1 dog.
We liked this place, thought it was a good value and will go back again.

Sunrise night

We checked the internet for RV Park possibilities around Santa Barbara, but it's hard to find a RV Park. So, Last night we stayed at this RV Park: Sunrise.

It's a small hell on earth:
- Sand everywhere
- it's so close to the highway! it's almost scary and so noisy!
- In the brochure of the camping they are telling you everything is clean: But it's not! There sand everywhere and the showers are so dirty!
- last but not least we choose to stay here because of the WIFI internet so we could plan out our trip of the next day: but the whole evening the WIFI didn't work. We tried Looking for the owner at the office but there's no one to be found.

We payed 50 dollars for this night and it really wasn't worth a dime!
We are really experienced campers but never ever gonna stay here again!

Santa Barbara is really cool, so if you want to stay here the night: drive from Ventura or somewhere else to S.B.
Sunrise has a monopoly position that's why they can ask big money for nothing!

I'm sorry we did not live up to your expectations. I truly do apologize if the bathrooms were dirty. And I'm so sorry the internet did not work well. We have new managers, Terry & Deb, who have worked hard to make our restrooms super clean. And we recently upgraded our internet service so that we have two access points and have quadrupled the strength of the signal. We are close to Highway 101 and now have a 12' sound wall, but we cannot change the highway noise.

Again, I'm so sorry your visit was not as you expected and hope you will give us another chance.

Close fo Santa Barbara's main drag, pier

My 24 foot Solera was $ 50 a night, they had good amenities, but the friendly owner offered information on parking at the pier at $2 hr. But it was $4
And I found you can park for free a couple of blocks away on the street.
I would stay here again when I need full hook- up.

Pricey Park

Super close to beach and zoo and downtown Santa Barbara. Manager was nice to us, but talked bad about another camper who was having trouble pulling their RV in.

Natural surroundings - You are not in a commercial or residential area, but still not a feel of being in nature. Train and highway 101 close by.
We paid $60 a night for full hook-ups, back-in site. Cheap for Santa Barbara though.

Bathrooms we're clean and had hot showers. Automatic light sensors are near ceiling so you have to wave your towel in front of them to turn them on. Roominess - Very tight we thought, for what we paid. Nothing to do on site.

Cleanliness was average. Super cheap laundry facilities, wifi, cable included. Picnic table at each site.

Try finding a good place with full-hook-ups in Santa Barbara that doesn't cost a bunch!

Thanks so much for staying with us. We're glad you found our park clean and with good, serviceable amenities. I apologize that the manager spoke disrespectfully about another guest. We do have new managers now, Terry & Deb, who are super friendly and very, very professional. I hope you'll give us a try next time you're in Santa Barbara.
