beautifully landscaped already

wonderful already located with plenty of space in the nature, hook up if he has booked long ago, but even without all was well, there is a dump station, showers only on the application (of us was 1 mile away) but ideally situated to explore the park , space and Sanitary facilities were clean, nice helpful staff.

Great and economical site

Be sure to book this in advance at the national park site if you want a full hookup site. Thats the only way to insure you get one. Reserved sites are the only way tent campers that walk in wont get a premium site. The wiffi is spotty and no cell coverage from ATT.
The campground is huge, and your nearest neighbor wont be close at all. The store is quite a hike away, but well stocked. Gas station on site too.

Camp here for the sights, not the sites

If you want full-hook ups, this ain't the place. There are only 15 of them and they require reservations. But if you want to be close to the ruins, this is the place to be. The campground is 4 mi inside Mesa Verde, which is about 25 mi from Cortez. The ruins are spectacular and we saw lots of wildlife. It is open early May thru October.
Loved the showers. They are individual VERY clean rooms located at the top of the hill by the store, which is ample.
Each site has a grill, picnic table and benches. Pets are allowed in the campground, but not on the trails, in archeological sites, or in buildings. They must be leashed at all times and you can't leave them unattended or tied to anything.
Wi-fi access is at the camp store.
