Great winter retreat
We have stayed here for several months at a time for the past several years. Very clean, very social and friendly. The newer Lakes sites are much more spacious but the older sites have lots of trees. Very pet friendly. Close enough to the coast but away from the traffic. Borders on the Peace River with access, so very convenient for boating and paddling. Only negative is the internet service which is contracted to Tengo. In a word... terrible. Not nearly enough bandwidth for the population except very early or very late in the day. Was family owned, but was recently purchased by Encore. No obvious changes due to new ownership that is obvious at this point in time.
Spacious and well maintained
This is a beautiful and well maintained resort. All paved roads, easily maneuvered in 45' bus with tow. Cement pads, gravel drive, fire rings and lake views. Boat ramp puts you right in the Peace River for fossil digging or a quick trip to the Gulf. Clean dog park. Everything was wonderful. Very close to I-75, but still in the country. Can't wait to return!
Brand New Really Nice Park
Very new, very nice and very well maintained with paved pad for rv and gravel for your vehicle. We stayed on a large lot in the new "Lakes" section. Very good utility service, lots of great paved paths to walk your dogs and fire rings on each site. They even had pet waste bags and disposal stations throughout. Upon arrival we were greeted by 6 resident sandhill cranes. Very cool! There were small gators in the lakes and lots of turtles. We were provided with a modem for cable, but since our stay was short we didn't bother using it because we needed different connectors. Very close to a superwalmart and route 75, but distinct country feel. Many well kept or brand new rvs throughout the park and they get permanent seasonal visitors. This is probably the only drawback because they do not have sites available usually from late November to April for daytrippers since they're booked with snowbirds. They even have a small camp store with essentials. We checked out other rv sites in the area, and this one has the most natural feel.
The Best of the Best
Riverside RV Resort is one of the finest campgrounds for Snowbirds in Florida. The management, winter guests, employees, and activities are outstanding. They have very low turnover. It is difficult to get a site in this park. Rate is based on 3 months. Electricity is included. Propane delivered to your site for $2.20 per gallon.
