Amazing Hard working Owner

Located 2 minutes off the 231 and I-10 The Hitchinpost Corral and Campground and it's Owner Vonda are just what we needed after a long day of bad luck . Safe, quite , rustic and Very Very Big Rig Friendly Indeed , 2 Dog parks and horse Corral's, beautiful lake Free fishing, free paddle boats free boiled Peanuts yummy awesome family owned meat market. The Hurricane hit The park 2 months after Vondas fiance John passed away yet we were greeted as we arrived with a smile and The kind of hospitality you could only wish for from a Park owner She took us to our site and layed out a carpet For us to use during our stay , she even brought me wild flowers and then firewood then she set up the kindling in the firepit all we had to do is light and enjoy. she is so kind and giving we were there for a week and she was working 24/7 doing daily park chores as well as cutting trees, spreading dirt and asphalt repairing the road's and areas where tree's were uprooted she said the Campground Lost about 200 tree's and she is still putting asphalt down in the site's on top of the gravel that she started before the storm . . There are lot's of white Bunnies waiting to visit the New campers sooo sweet . Full hook ups at all the site's , antenna channels as well as dish and direct TV if you have one .Very rustic and well maintained. The Eye of Hurricane Michael went right through the Campground but vonda was able to find camp hosts in January and they are working diligently to finish clean up and repair , other guest's at the park said that she has done most all the work herself and no matter how tired she is she always makes the time to fix you a camp fire or in our case helped us hook everything up because it was very late when we checked in. This is our favorite Campground in the area and Vonda is by far the best Campground host and owner we have met in 25 years of full time rving and we are looking forward to seeing her again on our way back around

BIG RIG Friendly,Hats off To the owner's John and Bubbles for building a campground in this area for us Big Boys and our toys

August 2, 2016
Best , New , Small ,Rustic Peacefull , well kept 24 Site state of the art electrical pedestals with Full Hook-up , Level Pull Through Sites,Big Rig Friendly Campground and RV Park so far and We have been on the road now for 15 yrs , To make it even better The owner's John and Vonda are the best hard working couple you could ever want in this business. They greeted us with an umbrella so that we didn't have to get out in the rain at 10 pm to check in,and we didn't even have a reservation on the 4th of July weekend and they even honored our PA discount on top of that , the roads are clearly Big enough to navigate any size Rig with or without a tow , we have a 41ft with 20ft toy hauler and didn't have to unhook there are no obstacles to try to miss, No low hanging limbs, separate entrance and exit, long , level site's some very spacious, 2 fenced in dog parks, Corral's and a 50ft round pen for a nice stay over when travelling with horses, volly ball , horseshoe's and more games as well as fishing and the best free Wi-Fi yet , we picked black berries and the owners brought us a dozen of their delicious free range eggs ,yummy, another great thing is they don't have permanent residents, which is a major plus in my opinion very peaceful indeed, no mosquito's just a few knat's , very clean and well kept, This will be one of our favorite park's to stay at when We are near by, Thank you guys so much for your hard work and wonderful hospitality and congratulations on building such a great place to stay overnight or a week in our case, we are looking forward to watching your campground grow and prosper

Great stopping point on I-10

Nice park easy to find right off the I=-10 and 231. Nice size sites and wide roads. It is new and yet has the look and feel of a campground and not a parking lot like many newer RV Parks.
