BEWARE!
BEWARE! The old adage “you get what you paid for” applies here. This place is NOT the same one they advertise on their website! It’s totally different! The pictures and information are from 8 years ago and have not been updated. Their website info is what brought us here; therefore, with site unseen and false advertising, it was regrettable! There’s no fun they claim as their motto; no happening; nothing going on; absolutely NO activities and very boring! It’s in the middle of nowhere and far away from everything. They claim to have three miles of walking trails, but they are just old paths in the forest filled with overgrown weeds and bushes and not maintained. The lake is an old drying up pond. The Rec. Hall and shower house are falling apart and neglected. The plastic shower stalls are moldy and badly needs replaced. No paper towels. The hand dryers are useless. There’s no heat in the bathrooms when it’s cold. They have over 100 sites and only 4 bathroom stalls, some mornings you may have to wait in line to use one when it’s busy. The Laundry facility is nothing to speak of. Internet? Forget it; it’s worse than dial-up! If you can get it, that is! The wife of the owner is accommodating and helpful, but the owner himself is not very nice. They are probably thinking about making money out of this place but would not spend money for upkeep of the place.
