Nice campground

Nice shaded sites with paved sites and patio. If towing a vehicle, disconnect at main entrance.
Campground is clean as is bath facilities.

A KOA that tries hard

The location is okay, and it is not okay. It's on the water, yes, but the industrial area you have to travel through to get there is a little off putting. Once you are there you will see that the sites aren't spectacular, but they are sufficient. You will be glad you have a car or some other transportation so that you can take advantage of what St Petersburg has to offer because there isn't anything nearby. The staff is indeed warm and friendly at this KOA and they work very hard to make your stay a good as it can possibly be. They have a nice pool, nice store and charging stations around the camp for phones and the like - nice touch. If you like to run or ride bikes you will like being right on the Pinellas Trail. But overall, The question we always ask ourselves is "would we go back?" The answer for this KOA sadly, is no. It isn't a destination in itself and there isn't enough in this area to draw us back.
