Think Twice
The RV park is small and located in a good area near the Hammock State Park and Lake Jackson.
The park managers seem a bit shady. We were charged the mobile home rental rate for August even though we have a travel trailer. We were told that they considered us to be a mobile home to charge the higher rate. Although we had printed park rules and rates they seemed to be arbitrary in practice. One in particular, was dog poop. The managers themselves walked their dog and left the poop behind in a do as I say not as I'm doing style of management. The website is misleading, making the park look much fancier than it really is, although clean it is very small and pool is tiny. The only outdoor recreation is shuffleboard-does anyone still play that?
The place could be nice with different management.
Great place
This the second time I have stayed. It is clean with easy access off US 27. The laundry room is clean and inexpensive. The residents are very friendly. The caretakers are very helpful and the campground is well maintained. We have stayed out of season and called ahead. The caretakers were waiting for us and we're very helpful. We used Passport America and they take
only cash or check.
