Do your kids like animals ?

Claim beautiful and fun. They have a lot of live animals ( see the pictures. ) Ponds for fishing ,clubhouse ,pool , playing horseshoes was fun. Clean. The only thing Negative was the lack of cable, and the Wifi was terrible. We stayed 4 days and had wifi about 4 hrs.of that time.
Proximity to Savannah was great but you cannot bike ride the 5 miles to Savannah due to traffic.

Best rv park hands down!

I can't say enough positive things, well maintained, friendly staff, beautiful grounds, large spots, loved the horses, lakes, views, pool and playground! I would stay forever if I could!

Great park

Reservations were simple, staff friendly and welcoming. Plenty of room not crowded. So easy to get to downtown Savannah. We will return again!

Very good park

Very clean and well kept. Courteous staff (who I suppose live on site) that met me at the office as I was pulling in. I didn't use the laundry but the clubhouse/Rec room was very well kept. Pool table and nice man cave. Nice and quiet, and was conveniently located. Approx. 15 minute historic downtown savanna. Hookup consoles are lit. Gravel sites, a lot of grass but not a lot of trees for pull throughs (though most backins are shaded). Surrounded by old oak trees covered with Spanish moss. Very pretty. Would stay there again. $40 after good Sam discount.

Needs a little work

Some areas in poor repair. Nice stop overall. Easy to get to savannah.

Red gate - not so picture perfect

Excellent location. pretty but... Rv park needs TLC. Pool is empty, two showers could use clorox, other handyman touches needed.

Nice RV Park

We stayed here for several days and enjoyed the easy access to the city. The grounds were clean and well kept. We took advantage of the giant big screen TV in the club house to watch a Boise Bronco football game on ESPN. It felt like we were in our own living room.
A bit of home, the country and a park all with easy access to the city!
We wished there had been laundry services on the grounds, but were told that is in the plans.
A nice park now and promising to be even better in the future.

RED GATE RV RESORT

This Resort just opened in Jan 2010,it is by far one of the most relaxing,in the country, but surrounded buy one of the nicest cities in the old south,Savannah,Ga. Red Gate offers a (free pick-up) downtown Savannah Tour where they pick you up at the resort and bring you back. This way you don't have to deal with the traffic.
Red Gate is easily accessible from I-95, and is the best RV Resort in the surrounding area in my opinion. It is big rig friendly, with pull-thru's and most with full hook-up's.
Some have Shade trees others do not at this time because the resort is new but it is in the works.
The resort grounds are the best manacured anywhere around. The Pool is very clean, the playground for the kids are great. The owners are some of the most pleasing folks you will ever meet,if there is anything you need or want they will go out of their way to help. And the staff is very friendly and helpful.
If your young at heart, this Resort will bring back alot of memories of the Old South. If you have plans on a wedding in the old south, They even hold Weddings in their Home, that's how beautiful this place is.
If your looking for a relaxing time RV'ing out in the country but close to the city come visit Red Gate RV Resort close to Savannah,Ga.
