Wouldn't say it's a resort by any means
But it was fine for an overnight. The concrete pad we parked motorhome on was barely wide enough for our class a motorhome. When we stepped out of our door, we had dirt. The rain made it a muddy mess. Several gun shots were fired either within the park or next to it.
Not impressed
We went to this park with a group for a long weekend. Was very disappointed that they put us right by the road which was very noisy. The spots were very unlevel and narrow. Our awning just about hit the 5th wheel next to us and they couldn't even put their awning out because of a tree. They had wider and quieter spots back in the back and they should have put us back there. Used the ones we were in for over nighters.
Old but Nice !
Older park but adequate. Loved the Spanish moss hanging off the oak trees. Has some concrete slab sites but most are on good gravel. About 20 min from downtown Savannah. Friendly staff, nice store and pool area. Had to spray for ants. We were in a 42' Motorhome.
Great place to stay in Savannah
We have 40' motor coach and we really enjoyed staying at this park. The staff is friendly and they have a well stocked store. There is a nice dock for fishing. It is very convenient to get to downtown. We will stay here again.
Old and noisy
I'm sure this was very nice at one time but it is really long in the tooth.... The 50 amp sites are on concrete pads, but the rest of us are on poorly maintained gravel (read that mostly dirt). The worst part is that the site we were assigned was VERY close to the highway. Although not an interstate, it is very busy except during the middle of the night, and trucks, motorcycles and cars sound like they are driving right past your window (which they are). There is a section that is farther away from the road, and if anyone wants to stay here I would suggest they ask for one of these sites. On the positive side, it is a very old and pretty area, with lots of large, old oaks with Spanish moss hanging from them. Over all, we will not come back. Of it were closer to Savannah, maybe, but it is about 20 minutes away. So, we will look elsewhere next time we are in the area.
