Disappointing
A disappointing stay here but it was not a surprise. We generally do not stay at KOA; we don't use many of the amenities geared to young families and don't consider the nightly rate to be a value. However there aren't many choices to spend the night in the stretch of the interstate highway.
To be honest there had been rain the day before we arrived and also the first full day that we were on-site. But that doesn't mean that the owners can't spend some of their revenue to fill in the hundreds of potholes here. They are everywhere and clearly an area of neglect; I have never seen so many potholes at any RV park that I've ever stayed. And they started on the main drive to the property from main highway, and nearly every loop road and RV site is affected and in dire need of several loads of gravel. Guests shouldn't have to accept such poor conditions and for the rate that is charged here you should not expect that your site will have very little gravel, be mostly muddy conditions, and have standing water a full 24 hours after the rain has ended.
We spent 2 nights here and would not visit again.
Nice shaded park
Lots of trees, friendly hosts, do have some smaller spots. Easy to find off the interstate
Beautiful campground!
Highly recommend this scenic, well kept, quiet campground. Also got a kick out of Casey's numerous "world's largest" attractions.
