Never Again

This campground did not exhibit the level of professionalism of which we are accustomed to dealing with, in my opinion. What a shame, too, because they have a great location for coming off the interstate and it could be a pristine property. However, it just seems so poorly operated and appears to be primarily a residential campground.

I feel that the hostess was not forthright about their sites and services offered, and at best it was severe miscommunication. They wouldn't accept credit/debit cards. However, the hostess never mentioned it on the phone (note to self: always ask). More about that in a minute. I called 2 times and had decided to pass because we could not get 50 amp with sewage and a pull-thru. Ten minutes later, the hostess called back and said they could accommodate my requests. When we arrived, they could not. The "pull-thru with sewage" was not a pull-thru because there were storage buildings prohibiting you to pull thru the site and turn. The sewage was shared, meaning you would have to knock on your neighbor's door before attaching your hose and take turns. We took another site and ended up paying $28 for a pull-thru with 50 amp and no sewage.

Now more about the credit/debit card. (I can't make this stuff up!) Once we arrived, I gave the hostess my card, filled out all the info and signed something. She took my card, looked at it, I presumed she ran it, did not say they don't take cards, continued to talk (she was friendly), and then I walked out and went to the campsite where my husband had set up. Ten minutes later, the male host comes to our site upset that we did not pay and told me they do not accept cards. (Say what??? Ok, what just happened, then???)

When compared to other campgrounds where we have stayed, this one ranks last. We were traveling in a 40' 5th wheel, and we've been RV'ing for close to 15 years. Personally, I would not recommend it to my friends; and next time we are passing thru this area, we will certainly leap frog this one!
