Amazingly helpful and friendly owners.
This RV Park is secluded amongst trees, pasture, and fields. The owners are extremely nice and helpful. I'm a 5 time repeat customer and Shawn helped me back in my camper, hooked everything up for me, and gave me several tips for troubleshooting some issues I was having with my camper. Jami is extremely nice and helpful, offering lots of information and advice on local activities, restaurants, and shopping. She even cooks for the tenants of the RV Park sometimes for FREE! The Boilermakers are a tight knit group, and we back these folks all the way. I keep noticing the negative review on several sites is from one man who I remember. He stayed a few campers down from us. He tried to get Jami to go pick him up from an airport and give him a ride to the RV Park, which Jami agreed to do for him. Ate the free meal she went out of her way to make for this man and his wife....But then he decided after he left the RV Park, that he was mad they didn't give him free rent during the time he wasn't actually staying at his camper. Very disappointed that behavior would have come from a Boilermaker!! He does not speak for US! Boilermakers are honorable and pay their debts!! This is an amazingly honest and friendly RV Park to stay at. I've been going there for several years now and they are incredibly lenient on their customers and I have never been charged a penny extra.
horrible place in the middle of nowhere
I stayed several weeks here because it is close to Jeffrey. BIG mistake. It is a grimy little parking lot half full of broken down rigs. The owners are a bit greedy, and will overcharge in a heartbeat. Also out in the cellphone fringe, will drop many times during a normal call. No wifi and still they charge $300/ Unless you don't stay the full month, then they hit you with the weekly charge, plus electricity. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.Drive a little, save a lot.
No showers or bathrooms
While traveling through Kansas we wanted an extra cheap place to plug in while visiting the Oz Museum. The OK Corral RV Park in Emmet, Kansas was a nice fit. While definitely not a destination park, please keep in mind this RV Park is still in the beginning stages as you read my review.
While it was a newer park, I did pick up a little bit of garbage around my site. No Bathrooms.
Bring your imagination and energy to run, because this park has no amenities. New park so they have nothing but full-hook-ups and small laundry facility.
Topeka and Manhattan both around an hour away. Oz Museum 15 minutes from here. Only met the owner. He was helpful and even helped us get hooked up! Not sure why, but never look a gift horse in ......
No trees in park, next to some fields and a factory of some sort looms up on the skyline about 5 miles away (no smell or noise from factory though). $10 for a night for two nights with Passport America card for full hook-ups. More room than the average RV park, plus there are some open fields with nothing on them right now, which made for some great exploration and relay races for our boys.
