Traveler Reviews
Good overnight.
We called Day of and could get a pull through site. Restaurant on site was good. Level site. Easy to get to.
Bigger is Better
As stated in previous review, stayed here again... and since being here they have expanded more sites. Made it very easy in and out with our large 5th wheel. We were traveling through again to Denver. Got in a little after 6:00pm, office left our paperwork up front. Simple.
Bathrooms clean. Enjoyed our brief stay here.
Will stay here as we travel this route.
Blessings all!!
Good for one overnight
Flat sites with plenty of space between. No problem using a satellite antenna (no trees). There was a good rainstorm overnight that covered parts of our site in standing water, especially near the water tap and electrical pedestal; also many parts of the exit roads from the park itself were covered in standing water. My advice to the owners: spend some $$ on a few more truckloads of additional gravel to alleviate this problem.
Short stay
We were traveling to Denver and this was a good stopping point for us.
Called and there was spots open.
Please note as soon as you go over the overpass the driveway is the first one on the right...
We missed it and had to turn around a few miles up the road.
They have some fun things to do there.
Miniature Golf was fun.
Clean bathrooms.
Would stay again.
Great for everyone in our family
We have stayed here a few times. There is a bar/restaurant on site, nice pool, splash pad & mini golf. It's also next to a wonderful diner. The sites are large & clean. The only thing we didn't love is that there were not a lot of trees, so it can get hot. And it's so windy you can't keep your awning out, so there is no reprieve from the sun. But when you are in Kansas there aren't many places you can find with trees & they do have a great pool.
A Place to Lay Your Head
Good for an overnight... Sites are easy to get in and out of, packed gravel... From what I could tell from researching campsites, this may be your best choice from within an hour of either side of the border... We stayed at the Goodland KOA on our way out, but we could not get a site there on the way back because they have such few sites with full hook-ups and pull-thrus... As it turns out, we like High Plains better because the sites are bigger and easier to maneuver and they have a lot of sites...There is also a fuel stop with good maneuverability directly across the highway from the campground... Very convenient stop
Nice people
Very friendly people. Close to freeway. Some grass gravel pull thrus.
