EXCELLENT PARK
Small Park 15 min from French Market.
It is CLEAN and comfortable.
The spots are just the right size and very level with clean gravel.
It is Well Run by owner Marla who is hands on and organized.
Marla is a lovely lady who welcomes you personally, will greet you upon arrival and show you to your spot.
She is very knowledgeable about New Orleans and the surrounding area and has many recommendations for what to do, where to go, where to eat etc.
We went to Fausts Restaurant, recommended on the Welcome sheet she gives everyone; it was Excellent.
The park is QUIET, the guests respectful.
Bathrooms are Clean.
The area is a bit sketchy at night for going for a stroll, daytime is OK.
As long as you are coming and going in your car at night it is fine.
There is a freight train that passes through toward the back of the park.
It only passed through once last night.
Wear earplugs and you will be fine.
When we find a clean park with respectful guests we often extend our stay; we will be extending our stay and will definitely come back again.
Good Value
Stayed a week. Quiet, gated. Ratty laundry room but machines get job done.
City bus stop across street, Seniors ride cheap. Ask for transfer ticket b4 paying and it's good for about 2 hrs. We transferred to cable car and rode it to French Quarter. All for 40 cents! Allow an hour. Study transit system before and it's easy.
Good place to stay RV overnight
The park is small, but adequate for RV camping. The campground was very clean and quiet. The Management was very helpful in shuttling us to the French Quarter and offering advice on what to see in New Orleans
